Club Structure

Glasgow RC Club are a constituted body made up by a committee of volunteers, who are elected from its members.  The core committee is Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer with a number of other elected positions.   We are a non-profit local community group.  We are a fully formed and affiliated member of the British Radio Car Association (BRCA) and abide by its rules and code of conduct. As part of the BRCA, we have liability insurance and all of our racers are members providing insurance for them to take part.  We are also a section of the East Kilbride Sports Club and abide by its rules and code of conduct.

Glasgow RC Club is run by volunteers for it’s members. We all just want to have fun playing with RC cars, but a constitution is necessary for the smooth running of the club. Glasgow RC Clubs constitution that shows how the club operates and it’s priorities.

Glasgow RC Club are a local community group of like-minded volunteers.  Our aim is to promote electric powered off-road model car racing, to arrange meetings in order to publicise and further the interests of the sport, to provide facilities for the local community benefit and to those further afield.  The hobby is fun and inclusive – there are no barriers to age, gender, or physical ability – everyone and anyone can race RC cars.  It’s something that can be done as a family.

Safeguarding

Glasgow RC Club is committed to providing safe and enjoyable activities for all members, children and young people through radio control car racing. We understand that safeguarding is essential in providing a safe and secure environment for all of our participants.

We ask that all children under 18 are supervised by a responsible adult. We are currently working with the BRCA to introduce a safeguarding role within the club and also working to have all committee members Disclosure checked.
